NIH rescinded its own OEDI policy chapter (NIH Policy Manual 2207, "Office of Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Affiliation with NIH Employee Resource Groups") "because it does not align with department priorities," with no replacement. The office's public site (edi.nih.gov) no longer resolves, but no allowlisted document states that the Office itself has been abolished.

Executive Order 14151 ordered every agency head to terminate, within 60 days, "all DEI, DEIA, and 'environmental justice' offices and positions" — a government-wide directive that reaches NIH's Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion but names no office.

Both pages refused to open for us, so they are recorded here as leads, not Evidence.
- https://www.edi.nih.gov/ did not resolve (the hostname no longer exists) on 2026-08-27. A dead hostname is suggestive but is not an allowlisted statement that the Office was abolished, so the Status stops at partial. If NIH or HHS publishes an organizational statement removing OEDI, this becomes done.
