Printed page 173 6. Department of State
“The secretary should capitalize on the more experienced political appointees by using them as the foundation for a mentorship program for less experienced political appointees.”
What has happened
- Not started
Searched; nothing found. Covered by cluster A in the chapter log: no mentorship program for political appointees appears in the Federal Register, in whitehouse.gov presidential actions, in the 2,313 State press releases published 2025-2026, or in the Foreign Affairs Manual. The Department's mentoring provisions in the FAM concern the Foreign Service, not appointees. Re-checked 2026-09-06 against the FY 2027 Congressional Budget Justification Appendix 1, which the Department published after that search: the word "mentor" does not appear in it at all.
No action found yet. This entry is the starting point, not a finding.
