This is a Requires-Congress ask, and no bill in the 119th Congress creates False Claims Act-style incentives for members of the public who identify scientific flaws or research misconduct: the corpus of 18,433 bills contains no title matching “False Claims” at all. Nor has EPA created any bounty, award or qui tam-style mechanism administratively; Executive Order 14303 moves in the opposite direction on who may raise such matters, making the agency's own internal process under section 7(b) “the sole and exclusive means” of evaluating alleged violations.

- A search of the same bill titles for “Scientific Integrity”, “research misconduct”, “Secret Science” or “Sound Science” found the Scientific Integrity Act (H.R. 1106, S. 4545) and the Sound Science Act of 2026 (S. 4397) as the nearest bills; all three were introduced and referred only, and none of them creates a public reward for reporting research misconduct.
