The CISA Cybersecurity Advisory Committee still exists and no allowlisted source records its members being dismissed. What is on the record is adjacent: under EO 14217 the Secretary terminated eight discretionary DHS advisory committees effective 2025-03-07 — the Homeland Security Academic Partnership Council, the Tribal Homeland Security Advisory Council, the Artificial Intelligence Safety and Security Board, the Public-Private Analytic Exchange Program, the Homeland Security Science and Technology Advisory Committee, the Cyber Investigations Advisory Board, the Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council and the Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee — and CSAC is **not** among them, because it is a statutory committee under 6 U.S.C. 665a rather than a discretionary one. The notice was read in full on 2026-09-03 to confirm the list, precisely because it is an easy document to over-read. CISA's own pages, now readable, show a committee that is listed but dormant: the group page describes it in the present tense, links a 2023 renewal charter and 2023 bylaws, and **names no members at all**, while the meeting-resources page carries quarterly agendas and summaries from the December 2021 kickoff through **October 2024 and nothing after** — no documented meeting anywhere inside the evidence window. Dormancy is not dismissal, so the Status does not move; but the note now rests on pages that were read rather than on a 403.

A Day One ask, and an unsatisfying result.
Lead, and now not even a readable lead. Axios (2025-01-24, axios.com/2025/01/24/trump-administration-cybersecurity-advisory-pclob-firings) is reported to cover the January 2025 board firings. It was re-tried on 2026-09-03 and refused every way we tried to read it, as it had been on 2026-09-02. It is recorded as unread, not as a lead whose content is known.
The Federal News Network attribution could not be substantiated and is withdrawn. An earlier note attributed to FNN a report that the White House removed all members of DHS’s advisory boards including CSAC. FNN’s own site search was run on 2026-09-03 and it genuinely works: a nonsense term returns “No results found” while real terms return story lists, so a negative from it means something. A search for “CSAC” returns exactly one article naming the committee, CISA advisors recommend agency cut onboarding time to 90 days, dated 22 June 2022 — pre-window. A search for “cybersecurity advisory committee” returns five pages of results whose in-window cybersecurity stories are about the Cyber Safety Review Board, probationary-staff reinstatements and CMMC, and none of them names CSAC. So no allowlisted outlet naming CSAC’s dismissal could be read: the test an earlier note set — two readable outlets naming CSAC — fails, the one-step promotion it contemplated is not available, and a Status resting on Secondary evidence needs two independent allowlisted outlets, which keeps the item off done.
Checked 2026-09-03: CISA’s own pages can be read, contrary to an earlier note. The CSAC group page and the meeting-resources page on cisa.gov were both read; the earlier note said the meeting-resources page returned an error, and it does not — it carries the full quarterly archive, which is now Evidence above. The archive’s most recent entry is the October 2024 agenda and summary (the earlier finding said June 2024; October 2024 is on the page). Either way it is pre-window: the committee has no documented meeting inside the evidence window and no published roster. A negative from an agency’s own pages is a negative about those pages, and the pages are named. What it cannot show is a dismissal, which is what the ask is about.
Negative search: Federal Register full text, and the federal records we keep and search, for “Cybersecurity Advisory Committee” over the window return only the 2025-03-13 termination notice, which does not name CSAC; the GSA FACA database (facadatabase.gov) and its API could not be read.
