Give military recruiters time at congressional townhalls
Printed page 103 4. Department of Defense
“Encourage Members of Congress to provide time to military recruiters during each townhall session in their congressional districts.”
What has happened
- Not started
No administration or congressional action giving military recruiters time at congressional town halls. Searched: the Federal Register full-text API for "military recruiter" since 2025-01-20 (0 results); the FY2026 NDAA for "recruiter" (seven hits, all about recruiter access to student information, recruiting stations and recruiter misconduct, none about town halls); the bills Corpus of the 119th Congress; the whitehouse.gov presidential-actions Corpus. Nothing found.
No action found yet. This entry is the starting point, not a finding.

Research notes
Nothing on any allowlisted source encourages Members of Congress to give recruiters time at town halls, and the mechanism would in any case be a request to Congress rather than an instrument.
This item sits in the page 103–104 personnel cluster, whose shared instruments are EO 14151, EO 14183, the FY2026 NDAA titles V, VI and IX, and the Secretary of Defense’s 2025 personnel memoranda — nearly all of which live on Department of War pages that refuse automated reads. One search covered the whole cluster.
- Regulatory agenda search, 2026-09-01. The Department of War’s full 2026 Unified Agenda was read on reginfo.gov — 111 active regulatory agenda entries across the Air Force, Army, Navy, the Corps of Engineers, Health Affairs, the DFARS council and OSD — not the abbreviated version the Federal Register prints. No entry touches recruiter access to Members of Congress. The only recruiting entry on the agenda is DFARS RIN 0750-AM19, Certification Requirement for Military Recruitment Advertising (DFARS Case 2024-D022), Proposed Rule Stage (NPRM published 2026-06-25, 2026-12826), which is about contracts for advertising placement. Subject area, not this ask’s object — and the ask is in any case a request to Congress, not a rulemaking. https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=202510&RIN=0750-AM19
