No restoration of tribal governments' authority to enforce environmental regulation on their own lands was found. Greps of the Federal Register corpus for the window return no Interior rule or notice conferring or restoring such authority; Interior's Secretary's Orders series through SO 3453 contains none — SO 3450 (2026-05-05) creates a violent-crime task force in Indian Country and SO 3403 A1 on the trust responsibility predates the window; and no treatment-as-a-state or delegation announcement appears in Interior's 2025–2026 press releases. The tribal delegation that did occur is the Southern Ute tribal energy resource agreement (#1523), which removes federal approval of energy leases rather than restoring environmental enforcement.
