“To promote transparency of finances, each year Americans should receive a financial statement of the U.S. government alerting citizens of the revenues, expenditures, deficit, and debt for the preceding fiscal year. The statement should also include this individual family's pro-rata share of the debt based on family size.”

No annual financial statement is sent to Americans and no per-family pro-rata share of the debt is published. Treasury does publish the Financial Report of the United States Government each year — revenues, expenditures, deficit and debt for the preceding fiscal year — but it is a report to the Congress and the public posted on Treasury's site, not a statement delivered to each household, and it contains no family-size-based share of the debt.
