    No new government-wide action on any of the three statutes. OIRA has issued no Information Quality Act guidelines in the window — the guidelines linked from OSTP's own resources page are still the final guidelines of 1 October 2002 — and no memorandum from M-25-10 through M-26-17 concerns the Information Quality Act, the Paperwork Reduction Act or the Privacy Act. Paperwork Reduction Act clearance continues as routine business, with roughly 5,900 agency notices published in the window, but routine operation of a statute is not the strengthened implementation the Quote asks for.

OMB memoranda index M-25-10 to M-26-17 (whitehouse.gov/omb/information-resources/guidance/memoranda/) — nothing on any of the three statutes; OSTP information-resources page still links “Final Guidelines for Ensuring the Quality of Disseminated Information – October 1, 2002”; a search of the Federal Register records we keep for “information quality” returns two documents, both agency-specific (an EPA TSCA proposed rule and a CDC information collection). EO 14303, Restoring Gold Standard Science, was read in full and does not amend information-quality practice.

OIRA’s “End of Year Deregulatory” statement of 19 December 2025 (whitehouse.gov/omb/news/) was seen in the news index but not opened; it is a lead.

Unified Agenda (reginfo.gov, checked 2026-09-01). OMB’s full 2026 agenda of active entries (12 RINs) contains no Information Quality Act, Paperwork Reduction Act or Privacy Act rulemaking. The nearest entry is RIN 0348-AB80, Expanding Secure Access to CIPSEA Data Assets — Proposed Rule Stage, Previously Published in The Unified Agenda, 44 U.S.C. 3582, CFR part not yet determined — which would set standards for assessing the sensitivity of statistical data assets and the accessibility levels appropriate to them, and require statistical agencies to run transparent risk assessments. It sits inside OIRA’s statistical policy function, which the Quote’s last clause names, but it is a CIPSEA rulemaking and does not name any of the three statutes this Recommendation is leveled on; an agenda entry that is only in the ask’s subject area does not move the Status, and the entry is recorded here.
