No amendment to the Nuclear Waste Policy Act was enacted or passed by either chamber. The nuclear-waste bills of the 119th Congress all stayed in committee: the Nuclear Waste Informed Consent Act (H.R. 466 and S. 101, both referred January 2025) and the Spent Fuel Prioritization Act of 2025 (H.R. 1012, referred February 2025). None of them provides for market pricing, competition for waste services or Nevada partnership arrangements.
