    Congress reauthorized the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program on its existing terms. The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 carries a $52,500,000 federal payment for school improvement under the Scholarships for Opportunity and Results Act and directs the Secretary to make scholarships available “to students eligible under section 3013(3)” — the low-income eligibility test the Quote asks Congress to drop — with no change to the award amount. The only widening is that students not offered a scholarship in a previous year must be considered.
