    Moved nearby, and the budget is now on the record. The Department's FY 2027 Congressional Budget Submission — the document that would carry a prioritization of the survey — was read in full and **does not name the National Crime Victimization Survey at all**. It asks for $55.0 million for the Research, Evaluation, and Statistics account, "equal to the FY 2026 Enacted level" and $10.0 million below the FY 2025 enacted $65.0 million, of which $33 million goes to the Criminal Justice Statistics program that carries the survey among seven other collections; the request neither presents itself as an expansion nor names this survey, so under §3b's Budget rule a flat line is `not-started` with the number in the note, not `attempted`. The survey itself continues — the Bureau filed the routine revisions of the approved collection in July and October 2025 — but continuation is not what the Quote asks for. Earlier Corpus searches (every Federal Register notice from BJS, NIJ and OJP in the window, the whitehouse.gov presidential actions, and all 2,087 headquarters press releases from the department's press API) found no prioritization and no reprogramming.
