   The FY2026 NDAA authorization adds a $50,000,000 SLCM-N warhead line by reconciliation adjustment and funds Sentinel and B-21 at the request; sec. 1636 authorizes life-of-program Sentinel solid rocket motor nozzle contracts, which is a rate-and-quantity enabler rather than a quantity increase. No provision raises a modernized nuclear system's program of record quantity.

   Section 20008(a) of the reconciliation act (P.L. 119-21) buys more than the program of record in several places: $4,500,000,000 restricted to expanding B-21 production capacity "and the purchase of aircraft only available through the expansion of production capacity" - additional bombers by the appropriation's own terms - plus $148,000,000 to expand D5 missile motor production, $62,000,000 to convert Ohio-class submarine tubes to accept additional missiles, $210,300,000 for increased production of MH-139 helicopters and $2,000,000,000 to accelerate the nuclear-armed sea-launched cruise missile. The Quote's own examples, Sentinel and the LRSO, get risk-reduction and certification money rather than a larger buy.
