Reassess the Linear Non-Threshold radiation standard

Research notes

• Negative search (2026-08-27): a Federal Register full-text search restricted to EPA for the linear no-threshold model returns zero documents in the window; the EPA Federal Register notices we keep and search carry nothing on radiological risk.
• EO 14303 Restoring Gold Standard Science (2025-05-23) tells agencies that “[h]ighly unlikely and overly precautionary assumptions and scenarios should only be relied upon in agency decision-making where required by law”, which is the general instruction a linear no-threshold reassessment would sit under. It does not name the model or radiation, so it is a lead here rather than Evidence. The same order is noted at #1060.
• EPA’s full regulatory agenda, read 2026-09-01. The full EPA Unified Agenda was read on reginfo.gov (214 entries across the active, long-term and completed stages), because the Federal Register prints only the entries that need a Regulatory Flexibility analysis and the 2026-08-27 negative search was taken from that abbreviated version. No entry anywhere in the 214 mentions radiation or the Linear Non-Threshold model. The negative now reaches the agenda as well as the Federal Register.
