No order in the current Secretary's Orders series reinstates SO 3351, and SO 3422 §5 confirms the post it created is vacant: reinstating SO 3352, the order provides that "in the absence of a Counselor to the Secretary for Energy Policy, the Assistant Secretary – Policy, Management and Budget will carry out the responsibilities assigned to the Energy Policy Counselor in that Order". Interior's published library, read on 2026-08-27, carries no page for SO 3351. The Department's energy reorganization has instead gone through SO 3429 (consolidation of administrative functions, 2025-04-17) and SO 3451 (establishment of the Marine Minerals Administration, 2026-07-10).
