Not started
Printed page 366 12. Department of Energy and Related Commissions
“The Department of Energy should be renamed and refocused as the Department of Energy Security and Advanced Science (DESAS).”
What has happened
- Not started
No bill, executive document or Federal Register item proposes renaming the department. DOE's November 2025 realignment renamed and merged sub-offices (Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation, Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office, Office of Energy Dominance Financing) but the Department of Energy keeps its name.
No action found yet. This entry is the starting point, not a finding.
