What has happened

The negotiation program is not repealed; the administration has embraced and extended it. Executive Order 14273 (2025-04-15) directs HHS to improve the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program rather than end it, and on 2026-06-16 CMS proposed a rule to codify the program in regulation and add new policies for it. No repeal bill has been introduced.
