    MHS GENESIS remains in use. The Department asked OMB in November 2025 to extend the MHS GENESIS Patient Registration Module and Patient Portal information collection (OMB control number 0720-0064) for three million respondents a year, and had run the 30-day and 60-day notices for it in July and November 2025 — an operating system, not a suspended one. Searched: the Federal Register full-text API for "MHS GENESIS" (two hits, both information-collection notices) and "Military Entrance Processing" (one hit, a Defense Manpower Data Center system-of-records notice of 2026-03-03) since 2025-01-20; the FY2026 NDAA and FY2026 defense appropriations act for "MHS GENESIS" and "Military Entrance Processing" (0 in each); the bills Corpus. Nothing suspends the system at MEPS.

MHS Genesis was not suspended at Military Entrance Processing Stations. The Department kept the system in service and went on collecting under it through the window; the recruiting-medical-records problem the Quote names was answered with automated record screening rather than suspension.

The nearest entry is OSD RIN 0790-AL47, Privacy Act of 1974; Implementation (Recruitment and Accession Records, DoD-0021), Proposed Rule Stage, proposed rule projected 08/2026, listed as “Previously Published” — which exempts the recruitment and accession system of records from Privacy Act access provisions under 5 U.S.C. 552a(k)(6) because it holds testing and examination material.
