What has happened
- Partially done
P.L. 119-74 section 311(d)(1) repurposed $1,281,141,701 of unobligated balances made available to carry out IIJA section 40323, the Civil Nuclear Credit Program, moving the money into the Nuclear Energy and Grid Deployment Office accounts. The hydroelectric power efficiency and production incentives under IIJA sections 40331-40333 were not touched, and the credit program itself continues: DOE made its first Civil Nuclear Credit payment, $271 million to Diablo Canyon, on 14 August 2026.
