Create a "Request for Application for Resilient Families"
Printed page 265 9. Agency for International Development
“The Bureau should implement a “Request for Application for Resilient Families” that harvests collaborative funds from siloed programs and makes individuals and the family, not diseases or conditions, the true focus of intervention.”
What has happened
- Partially done
One of the Quote's two objects was delivered by a different instrument. There is no "Request for Application for Resilient Families": Federal Register full text and the state.gov sitemap URL list both return nothing for the phrase or for "resilient families". But the harvesting of collaborative funds from siloed programs is exactly what the America First Global Health Strategy does - it identifies HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and outbreak response "all running as separate programs" with "separate disease-specific planning processes and implementing partners", and replaces them with integrated multi-year bilateral agreements featuring "systems integration, across areas such as supply chains, lab systems, and data systems". The unit the strategy organizes around is the recipient government, not the individual or the family, so the second half of the ask is untouched.
