The report records titles rather than duties, so this is not-started on the strength of the document that would show it, not on a failed search.

The Office of Political Affairs exists and is staffed. From the 2026 report: Matthew R. Brasseaux, Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Political Affairs; four Special Assistants to the President for Political Affairs (Escobedo, George, Moreau, Murphy); and a Political Affairs Coordinator. None of the six titles designates a liaison to the Cabinet or to executive-branch agencies, and the string “liaison” appears nowhere in OPA’s titles in either the 2025 or the 2026 report.
