What has happened
- Partially done
DOE's realignment left no energy-justice or diversity program office on the organization chart; the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity is reduced to an Office of Minority Economic Impact, and DOE separately rescinded its own nondiscrimination regulations through 2025 and 2026. Partial rather than done: the Office of Minority Economic Impact and the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity remain on the chart of 3 August 2026, so the sweep is not complete on its face.

EO 14151 ordered the termination of every federal DEI office, position, program and grant, and EO 14154 section 4(a) revoked EO 14008 — the order that created the Justice40 Initiative — and EO 14096 on environmental justice, abolishing any offices established under them.

DOE’s rescissions of its nondiscrimination regulations (Federal Register 2025-13128, 2025-13129, 2025-13130, 2025-13133, 2025-13138 and successors through 2026-17381) are the regulatory half of the same sweep.
