“Work with lawmakers to repeal the Dietary Guidelines. The USDA should help lead an effort to repeal the Dietary Guidelines.”

The administration did the opposite: HHS and USDA published the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025–2030 on 2026-01-07 as a "historic reset" of nutrition policy. The House-passed farm bill (H.R. 7567 Sec. 4308) would keep the Guidelines, moving them to a ten-year cycle with notice-and-comment rulemaking and making the 2025 edition controlling until then. No repeal proposal found.
- USDA release No. 0003.26 — Kennedy, Rollins Unveil Historic Reset of U.S. Nutrition Policy, Put Real Food Back at Center of Health (release of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025–2030)
- H.R. 7567 (engrossed), Sec. 4308 — Dietary guidelines kept and moved to a ten-year cycle, with the 2025 edition controlling

Research notes
- The contrary actions are cited as Evidence on the not started event above: where the administration moved the other way, those actions are the record. The same USDA release is at usda.gov, which refused automated reads; the Guidelines PDF is served from cdn.realfood.gov (not opened).
- H.R. 7567 Sec. 4308 amends 7 U.S.C. 5341(a) (“Beginning with the 2030 report and at least every 10 years thereafter”, with APA rulemaking) and subsection (b) makes the 2025 Guidelines controlling. It is the Dietary Guidelines Reform Act of 2025 (H.R. 2326 / S. 1129, introduced 2025-03/04) folded into the farm bill; it reforms rather than repeals.
- Federal Register: nothing since 2025-01-20 proposes ending the Guidelines; the documents in the federal records we keep and search that use the phrase are the 2025-07-25 ultra-processed-foods request for information and a 2026-05-08 school-milk rule that relies on them.
