No amended Executive Order 12333, and so no stipulation of NSA's strategic versus tactical role in one. The Federal Register carries no presidential document since 2025-01-20 mentioning Executive Order 12333, and P.L. 119-60 Division F legislates on NSA only at section 6802 (congressional notification of collection and sharing adjustments), which says nothing about the dual-hat relationship or about strategic versus tactical support. - Same negative as #529: no amendment of EO 12333 exists (Federal Register full-text search for “Executive Order 12333”, all document types, publication_date >= 2025-01-20, returns six Privacy Act notices and no amending order).
- Read and rejected: Intelligence Authorization Act for FY2026 section 6802 (P.L. 119-60, Division F), which amends section 22 of the National Security Agency Act of 1959 so that NSA must give Congress a summary and cause for any “covered intelligence collection or sharing adjustment”. That is a reporting duty, not an allocation of NSA’s strategic versus tactical support role, and the Quote asks for the latter in an executive order.
