No definition of American strategic and economic interests in the Arctic Circle has been issued. The Arctic Energy Office published a Strategic Plan in July 2026, and it moves nearby rather than on this ask: its four goals are Alaska energy-development goals — Railbelt grid reliability, North Slope infrastructure corridors and LNG export, microreactor deployment at defense installations and remote communities, and strategic microgrids — plus an operational setup section for an Anchorage headquarters.
