Explore creation of a Space Force Academy
Printed page 119 4. Department of Defense
“Explore creation of a Space Force Academy to attract top aero–astro students, engineers, and scientists and develop astronauts. The academy could be attached initially to a large existing research university like the California Institute of Technology or MIT, share faculty and funding, and eventually be built separately to be on par with the other service academies.”

Nothing found. "Space Force Academy" returns zero hits in the FY2026 NDAA, the reconciliation act and the FY2026 defense appropriation, zero in the Federal Register in the window, and no bill of the 119th Congress carries the phrase in its title. The FY2026 NDAA's Space Force provisions cover general officer management (secs. 501-502), an acquisition career path (sec. 1601) and space system acquisition (secs. 1603-1604); none creates, funds or directs a study of a service academy. See the Chapter 4 cluster negative search for pages 118-119.

Research notes
Requires-Congress ask; nothing reaches even the first rung — not even an introduced bill. The only Space Force organizational bills in the congressional records we searched are the Space National Guard Establishment Act of 2025 (H.R. 2042 and S. 963, both referred to Armed Services on 2025-03-11), which is a different ask.
