Public Law 119-98 section 103 appropriates a further $3,450,000,000 to CBP with non-intrusive inspection equipment again first on the list. Congress has increased funding for land port-of-entry facilities and NII technology in two successive acts; the ask is delivered.

Public Law 119-21 appropriates $5,000,000,000 for CBP facilities and checkpoints (section 90002(a)(4)) and $6,168,000,000 for border security technology (section 90004(a)), the first named purpose of which is "procurement and integration of new nonintrusive inspection equipment and associated civil works ... to combat the entry or exit of illicit narcotics at ports of entry".
