“USSS agents stationed outside of Washington, D.C., should be transferred to work in Immigration and Customs Enforcement field offices where they would continue to be the "boots on the ground" to follow up on threat reports throughout the country and liaise with local law enforcement for visits by protectees.”

Secret Service agents outside Washington have not been moved into ICE field offices. They remain in Secret Service field offices doing Secret Service investigative work, which is what the field offices' own 2026 announcements show. No memorandum of understanding, directive or reorganization document places Secret Service personnel in ICE facilities, and the Service's protective-intelligence field structure is unchanged.

The Quote’s premise is #404 and #405 - once non-protective investigations have gone to DOJ and Treasury and the offices have closed, the remaining agents would be co-located with ICE. Neither predicate happened.
Note the one place the two services did converge: DHS-wide surges in 2025 drew personnel from several components into immigration enforcement operations. No allowlisted source we found records Secret Service agents being permanently rebadged into ICE field offices, which is what this Quote asks for.
