“The CDC operates several programs related to vaccine safety including the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS); Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD); and Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment (CISA) Project. Those functions and their associated funding should be transferred to the FDA, which is responsible for post-market surveillance and evaluation of all other drugs and biological products.”

VAERS, the Vaccine Safety Datalink and the CISA Project remain CDC programs. Full-text Federal Register search for "Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System" returns two documents in the window, neither a transfer; "Vaccine Safety Datalink" returns none. FDA reorganized itself agency-wide on 2026-07-29 and the resulting statement of organization contains no vaccine-safety program moved from CDC. None of the twelve HHS organizational notices of the window touches CDC. Two further reads on 2026-09-03 make the negative CDC-sided as well as FDA-sided. CDC's *Vaccine Safety Systems* index still presents VAERS, the Vaccine Safety Datalink, CISA and V-safe as CDC's own — "CDC monitors the safety of vaccines through four complementary systems" — though the page carries only 2024 section dates (July 31, August 7, August 8, 2024) and so is a read-but-undatable source rather than Evidence: it is a page that has not been revised inside the window. And CDC's complete newsroom for the window, enumerated through the agency's own search index (1,993 records, 176 of them dated on or after 2025-01-20), contains no release announcing any transfer of a vaccine-safety system.
